Vantage is seeking Analyst candidates with exceptional communication and organizational skills, strong business knowledge, a desire to problem solve and support projects internally and for clients.  Analysts must be able to work diligently, both independently and as part of teams.  They should be enthusiastic about learning, working hard (which may include putting in long hours at times) and taking full advantage of the professional opportunities afforded to them.  Individuals who excel in the Analyst role are given increasing client-related responsibilities over time and are considered for promotion to Consultant within two to three years.

Analysts are typically leveraged to support our four Practices (i.e., Alliances, Enterprise Learning, Sales & Account Management, and Sourcing and Supply Management).

  • Working with Practice Lead to create agendas for internal team meetings
  • Facilitating Practice team meetings and driving all necessary follow up
  • Conducting background research on potential and newly engaged clients within the Practice
  • Preparing presentation materials for speaking engagements and conferences
  • Project Management of small to large internally-focused projects like research studies, book-writing, and strategy-development efforts
    • Scheduling and logistics

  • Supporting academic research projects by helping with survey design and distribution, participation tracking, data management, data analysis and report writing
  • Conducting secondary research for various studies and articles
  • Coordinating and helping to draft marketing materials such as case studies describing prior client projects
2. Client Support:
Depending on firm need and Analyst abilities, Analysts are staffed to help support client projects, usually working as part of a team or directly with a senior member of the staff.  They also might be staffed to work on a discrete part of a client project (e.g., the diagnostic phase).
  • Project managing the project: with input from the senior members of the team, create and maintain a project plan, track action items, ensure that plans are in place to drive deliverables
  • Helping manage engagement logistics (e.g., scheduling, scope management))
  • Supporting diagnostic interview processes by creating interview guides, taking notes, compiling qualitative data, and helping to analyze results
  • Attending client meetings to take notes and organizing them into a useful set of key ideas and actions after the meeting
  • As possible, working with project teams to create strong first drafts and revisions to client deliverables (e.g., reports, training programs, process design, etc.)
3. Miscellaneous Support:
We are a small firm and our consulting team often needs to be resourceful and flexible.  Analysts may be asked to pitch in on all kinds of tasks large and small.

  • Spur of the moment research requests to support last minute client or team needs
  • Proofreading or formatting documents
  • Transcribing flipchart notes or other materials like videos

  • A self-motivated approach to learning and mastering skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
