Laura Visioni is a Senior Advisor and a founding member of Vantage Partners LLC. Prior to joining Vantage Partners, Ms. Visioni was an Associate at Conflict Management, Inc. where she worked in the Latin American Practice Group. Before joining CMI, Ms. Visioni was an International Trade Assistant for the Law Firm of Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC where she researched and managed complex trade cases involving the US and foreign governments, and analyzed US foreign policy for foreign government clients.
Today, Ms. Visioni helps run the alliance and joint venture practice at Vantage Partners and works extensively with clients across numerous industries, helping them negotiate and manage their most critical business relationships. Ms. Visioni’s work has ranged from helping executive teams turn around underperforming alliances, to helping organizations build the capability to launch or upgrade their alliance management functions, as well as their key account management and supplier relationship management programs.
In addition to her work in the private sector, Ms. Visioni has taught as part of the Advanced Negotiation Workshop at the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard Law School. She also does pro bono work for non-profits and non-governmental organizations. Ms. Visioni helped the National Kidney Foundation of Washington, DC to facilitate their executive planning process and consider the role that alliances should play in the foundation’s future. Ms. Visioni has also worked extensively for Cambridge Family and Children's Services where she has provided conflict management training to social workers and advice to the organization's leaders on inter-agency and community negotiations.
Ms. Visioni is on the Board of the New England Chapter of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles on alliance management and led extensive research in the field of alliances. Recently, Ms. Visioni co-wrote a chapter about relationship management for the book, Mastering Alliance Strategy – A Comprehensive Guide to Design, Management, and Organization by James Bamford, Benjamin Gomes-Casseres, and Michael S. Robinson.
Ms. Visioni is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. She lives and works in Burlington, Vermont where she is the mother of three children.
